What is the difference between my hosting account control panel and my WordPress Dashboard

You Hosting Account Control Panel is the place where you control everything regarding your hosting Account. This is the place where you can

  • upload files to your website and also check on your website files.
  • create email addresses and also access your email accounts via webmail
  • install software and other scripts to help your website
  • make backup of your complete website and control panel settings
  • create databases and connect them to software
  • check your statistics and other metrics
  • and many other actions

To visit your control panel go to yourdomain.com/cpanel (replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name) and log in

If WordPress is your website of choice, all actions to do with editing your website are done through the WordPress Admin Dashboard. To access your WordPress Dashboard, you will have been given a link during the set up of WordPress to access the log in page. It is usually yourdomain.com/wp-admin/ (replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name)

If you have set up WordPress in a different directory or folder, then don't forget to add the folder in the address bar as well
