What are the sever settings for my email account?

Solution

Your POP Mail Server is "yourdomainname.com" (no www. is added here)(yourdomainname.com = your domain
name with the extension eg .com .biz .com.au )

Your username is your email address that you are setting up.
Your password is the one associated with this email address.

There are two ports you can use

Port 995 (recommended)
Connection Security SSL/TLS
Authentication Method - Normal Password

Port 110
no connection security
password sent insecurely

Your SMTP Mail Server is "yourdomainname.com" (no www. is added here)

Your username is your email address that you are setting up.
Your password is the one associated with this email address.

There are four ports you can use

Port 465 (recommended)
Connection Security SSL/TLS
Authentication Method - Normal Password

Port 587
Connection Security STARTTLS
Authentication Method - Normal Password

Port 25 or Port 26
no connection security
password sent insecurely

(if you are using these ports, preference should be made to using port 26 as sometimes your
internet provider will block port 25)

If you do not have an SSL certificate for your site, when you use the recommended settings (above),your email clien (program) may ask you to add a security exception for the email address you are setting up. This exception is legitimate and you will be safe to add the exception.
This is due to there being no security certificate covering the email addresses on your site.
If you require an SSL certificate, please get in touch with Support for further help.

Remember to set your email client (program) to delete emails from the server after downloading.
This will stop the server storing emails and exceeding your email MB quota on the server.
